The studio

One person,end to end.

PRIMARIS is founder-led. One person designs, builds, and runs the work end to end — so you talk to the person doing the work, not a sales layer. Founder: Patrick Zapala, New York City.

Why PRIMARIS exists

It started with onereal operation.

PRIMARIS started from one real engagement: a New York operation running its whole business on spreadsheets, paper, and a stack of disconnected apps, rebuilt onto a single platform they own. That proved something most operations live with — they are underserved by off-the-shelf tools and faceless vendors. The better answer is software built around the actual work, and owned by the business.

What it comes down to

Five convictions,no exceptions.

01

Own it, don't rent it

Software should belong to the business that paid for it — a permanent license, full data ownership, and no lock-in.

02

Control the infrastructure

Data should live on hardware the client owns and can see into, not a rented black box.

03

Build to last

Systems engineered for a ten-year life, not a churn cycle.

04

Closed by default

Nothing exposed to the public internet — security is the default, not an upsell.

05

Earn the relationship

No traps and no hostage data. The relationship is kept by being worth keeping.

How the work goes

Learn it, build it,then run it.

It starts by learning the real operation — sitting with the people and tracing the workflow — then building around it, then staying to run it.
